Sanctitees is passionate about spreading the gospel and love of Jesus Christ. For this reason, we're committing 10% of net earnings to global Christian causes and outreach. Every time you shop at Sanctitees.com, you'll be sharing your resources with important ministries that need our help. We do not ask for direct donations, but should you feel compelled to do more for the charities we promote, we ask that you contact them directly. We've elected to start with an organization dedicated to spotlighting the deplorable practice of human trafficking. As the father of two young girls, it's a problem that weighs upon my heart and an issue that remains under-publicized and under-served. Read on about how Philip Cameron Ministries is helping to stop the engine and please be sure to spread the word to your friends. God bless.
The trafficking of human beings drives a billion dollar industry in which millions of lives have been destroyed.
Orphans in the Republic of Moldova are pushed out of the state run institutions at the age of 16 and given just enough money to buy a bus ticket to the city of their birth. Orphanage directors often tip off traffickers as to which bus stations 'their children' can be located. The trafficers offer bogus jobs in cafes and shops in exotic countries abroad, promising good pay and accommodations. Relieved to have somewhere to go and a means to live, get into the traffickers' cars. The kids are then beaten, threatened, tortured, stripped of their passports, dignity and innocence. Within 24 hours, they are shipped abroad to countries such as Greece, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia, sold for around $3,500 each and become slaves, servicing clients up to 35 times a day. Everyday. Without pay. This is their life until they either die of AIDS, murder or suicide, or until they recruit others to take their place.
Each year, 600,000 to 800,000 people are trafficked around the world. Many great organizations help rescue and rehabilitate victims, but Philip Cameron Ministries protects these girls from ever having to go through this experience. Featured in a PBS Frontline special on the sex trade, Moldova is known as the "engine" of the trafficking industry. The Camerons are building homes where orphan girls can come and live, get an education, learn basic life skills and most importantly experience the love of Christ. The first home was up and running in the fall of 2006 and a second in November of 2008. The current goal is to build enough houses so that no Moldovan orphan girl will fall victim to trafficking because they have nowhere to go and no one to care for them!
We are currently helping to raise funds to buy the next home for girls. If you would like to know more about this vital ministry of helps, visit www.stallthisengine.org.
